Colton's Latest Report Card and Tooth

Colton received his latest report card.

He received all A's and one B (he was ONE POINT from an A)

We were very proud of him!!!

I didn't get a chance to write the actual grades down this time, so I will do better next time. :)

Also, Colton pulled his own tooth last night! Pulling teeth is not Colton's favorite thing to do, so he was very proud of himself!!! Colton says, "It didn't even bleed". He was happy to leave a note to the tooth fairy explaining that he finally did not swallow a tooth (he has swallowed the last two).

That is all for now in NC!

The Soccer Shootout

We put Colton's soccer goal up today, since the weather was nice. We created a shootout type of game. If the goalie blocked the shot, then he scored a point. If the shooter made it past the goalie, then he scored a point. The first to 15 points won. Well, Colton won 2 games to Matt's 1. I enjoyed taking pictures and being the judge of if the ball went in or not.

Snow Can Fall in Sanford

Well, it is possible for snow to fall in Sanford and much to our delight. Saturday we actually received some snow (not as much as they had forecasted but hey you will see that it was enough to build a snowman)!! The excitement started as soon as the first snowflake was visible.
Catching snow on their tongues
Mason's snowprint

Colton made an arrowhead.

Colton gets the head of the snowman ready.
Mason and Marshall help build the two parts of the body.
Whenever you can get out and throw some snowballs you know it is going to be a great day! By the way, if you notice their hands in the snowman building pictures, you will notice the plastic bags on their hands. It just doesn't snow here, so all of their gloves are not the ones you wear in snow. They are just for warmth. Soooo...we had to improvise after the other gloves became wet by putting socks on their hands and wrapping plastic bags around them. Hey it worked!!!!!! That is how we do it in NC!!!

Erector Set Sunday

Colton decided that yesterday was the day to build something with his erector set. He decided on the Viking Ship that rocks back and forth. It seemed like a great idea until we realized it took the three of us 6 hours to complete it. The motor proved to be a bit of a problem, but no one gave up and it turned out well. Colton did a great job with it and even told us what to do on some steps. He would figure it out, put it together and Matt/I would tighten the bolts or something similar. Most of the time my job was to locate the items we needed for each step, which was fine with me. Colton decided that once it was finished that he would give some of his LEGO guys a ride. It was a lot of fun!

We enjoyed talking about how much Matt loves the Viking Ship ride. He told of his one and only time on it with Todd. Something about some women yelling "Higher" and Matt and Todd screaming "NOOOOOO" as Matt was about to get sick. Colton enjoyed hearing about it!!!

Webkinz Designer

Colton got really creative over the weekend. He had Matt and I come into the room to show us what he had created for his Webkinz pets. He designed some really cool clothes for them out of paper. The "CD" on the dog is for name of that pet "Cookie Dough". The turtle not only has a hat but binoculars around his neck. After taking these pictures, he has since made shoes, food, and a football for the pets. We were amazed by his creativity! He did such an awesome job!

Wrestling Tickets

Matt and I surprised Colton with tickets to the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) event in Fayetteville. Colton really enjoys watching wrestling and playing with his wrestling figures, rings and Playstation games, so he is beyond excited.

Before reading the tickets:

After finding out that he gets to go to the WWE event:

Colton says: "It totally rocks!! It's smashing!! And it is a real Smackdown (that is the name of the event)!"Colton showing Matt one of his signature submission moves. I think Matt may have met his match!!!!

Decorating the Car for the Caravan

Colton and Matt were very excited to decorate our car for the first indoor soccer game. There was another window that had "Danger: Dutchess Zone". By the way, the "FRH Express" stands for the "Flying Red Hippo". You will read more about that one in the post below regarding our team's name. Our first caravan to a game!!!

Indoor Soccer

Colton started his indoor soccer season. They play up in Cary in a nice indoor soccer complex. He was so excited to wear his new goalie uniform that he got for Christmas from his Mamaw Bets and Papaw Russ. Colton started off playing goalie, but since he did not even have an opportunity to touch the ball they put him in the field. His team won 17-0. Colton played very well by making some awesome passes and playing great defense. His team is called the "Flying Red Hippos". His coach has an interesting sense of humor. I have attached some photos from the game (sorry that they are a little dark). His team doesn't play this weekend, but will play again on the 19th. Colton LOVED indoor soccer!

Christmas/New Year's at Ken and Libby's

We traveled to WV again after Christmas and this time we went to Ken and Libby's house. We had a GREAT time. Colton experimented with "a new look". We thought he looked very cute! Amy, Dave, Grey and Everett came over on Saturday. It was nice to hang out with them. We played Colton's new game that he got from PaPa Kenny and Gramcracker Libby. We found out some interesting things about each other playing that game. Matt was extremely excited to get his WV jersey, so now he and Colton match.
Saturday night was an awesome night when Todd, Melissa and the girls came over. We all enjoyed watching Todd have a good time. It was a really fun night hanging out together. A lot of laughter could be heard coming from the man's room. It was another terrific WV trip.
Enjoying hanging out in the man's room.

Playing PaPa Kenny's new Playstation 2. Colton enjoyed the hunting game.
