"Boy" pictures

We found a way to create cartoon characters just from the word "boy". Here are our latest creations that can be found on our dry erase board on the refrigerator. Matt's is on top and is of his little man shooting a soccer goal. Colton's is on the right side. His is the breakdancing little dude. Last is mine on the left. I turned mine into a fish boy.
If you would like to create your own do the following:
  • write the word "boy"-the "b" and the "o" will become the eyes and the "y" will be the hairline and back of neck
  • the connect the b and the y to form the chin
  • at the top of the b start making the hair
  • add the nose and mouth and you have your face

Family Sunday

Last Sunday, we decided to go to San-Lee Park for a picnic and hike. Matt grilled some great hot dogs. Colton decided to decorate his hot dog (see below) before eating it. We had some visitors, so Colton and Matt fed them the left over hot dog buns. Along the hike, we saw a lot of trees that beavers had gnawed and some of their dams. When we arrived home, we played some Corn Hole (the cool game Mams and Baps gave us for Christmas). As much as I hate to admit it, Matt was the overall winner. I guess we have to let him win some times.

Raven Rock

Gram, Grandpa, Colton and I went to Raven Rock (Matt was busy winning a poker tournament) for a hike. Colton brought his metal detector to try and find some cool treasures. He found a lot of quartz, pop tabs and change. It was a beautiful day to explore!!!

Ingram Idol: Johnny Cash is Back

The Annual Ingram Idol was held tonight and Johnny Cash made another appearance! Colton sang "Daddy Sang Bass" and did AWESOME!!! It was his best performance ever! He was in the second set of acts and received HUGE applause and cheers! He had a lot of friends and family there, including all of his YMCA counselors. He made us sooooo proud!!! He projected his voice well and it sounded so great. He looked up the entire time. He did say he was very nervous, but once he got out there you would never have known. After the show, he received a free movie/video game rental from Movie Gallery, which he thought was great. He plans on renting a video game of course!! After the performances, he chose to eat at one of the local Chinese restaurants. It was a wonderful evening (dinner and a show).

Anthony and Colton (Anthony is one of Colton's YMCA counselors)Jordyn and Colton (Jordyn performed as well-she is one of Colton's friends and has been on several of his athletic teams, including his indoor soccer team now)
Colton and one of his classmates (he kept Matt entertained the entire evening)
